CURRICULUM VITAE
Since studying Fine Arts at Curtin University West Australia I have concentrated on creating paintings, staging exhibitions and undertaking commissions of paintings. Since 2009 I have designed and delivered a range of educational and community biodiversity festivals and events. Together we create biodiversity survey exhibitions representing the local environmental systems. These projects are created in collaborations with local and state government entities, arts, community and educational institutions.
I have worked alongside plant and animal biologists at the University of WA and with other scientific research organisations since 2009 to create an opus of artworks on marine biodiversity. My community biodiversity events are designed to take biologists and their work out into the community. I currently hold the position of Honorary Research Associate at the University of Western Australia in the School of the Biological Sciences and Adjunct Artist with the Australian Institute of Marine Science.
I have designed and presented art and biodiversity festivals with community groups and schools throughout metropolitan, regional and remote WA to discover and document the natural treasures of our stunningly beautiful biodiverse environments. In 2024 I was awarded the Australian Government Individual Landcarer’s Award for services to community engagement and landcare education.
